Pemiquid Mussel Farms is an owner-operated, sustainable mussel farm founded in 2007 in Damariscotta, Maine. Swaying on ropes in the open ocean, big, beautiful mussels are suspended from innovatively-engineered rafts that not only sustain but improve the environment they are grown in.  The submersible rafts that the mussels hang from are an advanced construction to enhance the marine biodiversity and the environment. Every carefully cultivated harvest is collected, processed, and purged on the open ocean to preserve the freshness and ensure optimum shelf life.  All Pemaquids are cleaned onsite before being iced for delivery.  

These high-protein, low-calorie, nutritionally rich mussels are meaty and clean with a salty-sweet taste.
