Rumi Spice was founded by a group of US military veterans partnered with Afghan farmers. Their promise is the highest quality saffron for a peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan.  The saffron comes from sustainably farmed rural farmers.  Rumi Spice profits are reinvested to build the agricultural and manufacturing infrastructure necessary to lay a foundation for peace and prosperity.  The saffron is known as red gold, and comes hand harvested directly from Afghan farmers.  In one year they have doubled saffron production and have been able to employ 75 Afghan women in their processing plant in Herat, Afghanistan.
