Fortune Fish & Gourmet builds new fresh fish cutting facility to service customers throughout the Northeast

BENSENVILLE, Ill. & UNION, N.J.-- Fortune Fish & Gourmet, the country’s leading processor, distributor and importer of quality seafood, meats, and gourmet products, announced the opening of a new fish cutting facility at its Northeast Regional Headquarters in Union, NJ on March 25th. This expansion will enable restaurants and retailers from the Philadelphia, New York and New Jersey markets to access the freshest fish available, custom cut in the refrigerated fillet room.

This new cutting room joins Fortune’s growing portfolio of state-of-art facilities, including its 110,000 square-foot Bensenville, IL headquarters, eight additional cutting rooms and 14 total locations across the United States.

“We’re excited to continue to scale our business, if you’ll forgive the pun,” said Jason Wagner, Senior Vice President of Fortune East. “Our new cutting room will allow us to offer our chefs and retailers even more selection and personalization than they’ve already come to expect from us.” This strategically located processing room will operate under the FDA and State Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point guidelines, with a team of experienced fish cutters working 6 days a week to cut whole fresh fish arriving daily.
