Earth Day Beach Clean-up

earth-day-beach-clean-up

For the second year in a row, Fortune Fish & Gourmet will be cleaning up Fullerton Beach for Earth Day.  On Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 1pm our team will celebrate Mother Earth and take to the sand for a big cleanup of Fullerton Beach, one of Chicago’s most utilized beaches.  Last year we adopted Fullerton Beach through the Alliance for the Great Lakes’ Adopt-A-Beach program.   During the cleanup, the Fortune team along with participating customers will pick up litter and conduct a beach health assessment that will be used to educate the public and improve Fullerton Beach’s overall appearance and condition.  The Earth Day celebration will continue for all beach clean-up participants at 4pm at Perennial Virant, 1800 N. Lincoln Ave for a complimentary happy hour.   Be sure to dress for the weather.

RSVP to Stacy Schultz via stacy@fortunefishco.net to participate

Parking
Parking for the beach clean-up is available at the North East corner of Cannon Drive and Fullerton across the street from Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.  The lot is a Chicago Park District lot with a pay to park machine for $13.00. There may be free street parking on Cannon but that will be a long walk.

THE RESTROOMS NEAR THE BEACH ARE NOT OPEN FYI!!
