Edelweiss Creamery is a small Wisconsin cheese factory employing state-of-the-art technology alongside the tried and true traditional method of cheese making. It was established in 1873 and is still at the same location. Their cheese brings you back to a time when the quality and the flavor was king! They also have a grass based line of natural cheeses, and they are very proud to do their part for sustainable agriculture.
Butterkäse
Butterkäse, originated in Germany and is made throughout Germany and Austria. Its name literally means “butter cheese,” because of it’s butter-like texture. Butterkäse is also called Damenkäse or “ladies cheese” because it is delicately flavored, odorless and complementary
to most foods. Butterkäse is produced at Edelweiss Creamery in the Alpine tradition.
Master Cheesemaker Bruce Workman maked this grass fed, raw cow's milk cheese in copper vats imported from Switzerland. Eiger Mountain is an excellent cheese for sandwiches, melted over French Onion Soup or in a fondue.
Havarti is a Danish style, buttery, supple, cow’s milk melting cheese. Edelweiss Creamery aims for a traditional tasting Havarti. Cheese maker Bruce Workman, only sources milk from 5 family farms.
