Founded in 1989 by George St. Martin, Classic Provisions sought to supply chefs and specialty food retailers with high quality chocolate couverture and imported cheeses.  In 2001, Sally Witham joined ownership in the business and with her retail and culinary experience, expertise, and leadership, grew the portfolio from cheeses and largely imports to a broad line of domestic artisan foods.  As Classic Provisions blossomed, Sally foresaw a need for a line of premium, unique legumes, grains, spices, nuts, and dried fruit. This led to the establishment of the Classic Provisions private label and the branding of the high quality product line.
