Tasmanian Ocean Trout, Oncorhyncus mykiss, are raised in open ocean pen in the remote Southwest coast of Tasmania, where the cool wilderness waters of the Franklin-Gordon Rivers combine with the saltwater of the Southern Ocean. The farm carries certificates of sustainably from the Aquaculture Stewardship Council and Best Aquaculture Practices. The meat is a vibrant rosy-orange color and has a good amount of marbling. This premium Ocean Trout has a delicate flesh with a superior taste that is more subtle and less salty than Atlantic Salmon.
